Excellent Bristol/Bath based string quartet with very diverse musical influences and band members from France, Spain and the UK (you may recognise some of them from our old favourites the Bartoune Trio). FIGES & ILETT

Two of Bristol's best jazz musicians in a rare duo outing! Saxophonist Kevin Figes is a tremendous performer & composer, whilst Denny Ilett (one of the forces behind the mighty Bristol Jazz & Blues Festival) is a storming guitarist. Not to be missed.

ANDY HAGUE's DOUBLE STANDARDS

An all-too-rare visit to the Tapas Tardis by legendary local trumpeter/drummer/composer Andy Hague, this time with his new contemporary jazz project playing less commonly performed standards as recorded by some of his heroes, plus some of his fine originals. With Adam Stokes on guitar and Riaan 'Uphill Game' Vosloo on bass.

Fri Jan 24th:

I-SHA-VII & SOL PACHNER DUO

"Hippie singer-songwriter" I-Sha-Vii and guitarist Sol Pachner are both members of Bristol-based psychedelic rock group Amun-Ramen.

As a duo, they bring you a beguiling mix sweet voice and full-bodied guitar. As well as original compositions that could fit under the wide umbrella of the Americana genre, they perform a range of blues and jazz standards, with a twist. It's a rare duo set, and their first at El Rincon, so make sure to be there!

It's Flamenco Loco

Here it comes! Drop down to witness The Spanish bar getting even more Spanish. Book your tables, bring friends, order paella, drink sangria and bring dancing shoes.

Thurs January 30th:

MIKE COLLINS DUO

Lyrical European-tinged modern-jazz from this excellent duo. Pianist Mike Collins and double-bassist Ashley John Long explore the possibilities and freedom offered by the duo format on Mike’s characteristic mix of melodic originals (some newly minted) and carefully-selected others. Highly recommended.
