We are a cosy Spanish bar nestled on the thriving North street in Southville, Bristol. Established around the year 2007, Specialising in the traditional food and drinks of Spain accompanied by some of the finest live music from the UK and beyond. We also offer Spanish classes and private hire of our intimate venue.
We’re reservation free, keeping it friendly and accessible to everyone at all times of the day.
Its a bit of a mixed bag but the 1st Wednesday of the month we host The Spanish Club, a hub for all like minded learners. It's free to pop in
The 2nd we open for Backgammon and chess games
We host a regular Poetry and Spoken word evening too on each 3rd Wednesday of the month with tickets online and on the last one there's a quiz. with ten teams of 4, again tickets online and the prize this month is a wheel of Manchego
We’re taking a break from live music until October, butthe bar will be open for tapas and drink as per usual
From October 6th, our Thursday ‘Tiny Gig’ evenings return, capped to 30 guests, offering a unique and intimate setting for some of the best musicians from Bristol and further afield.
From October 14th, ‘Fiver Fridays’ return, when you’re very welcome to drop in and we only ask for a £5 contribution to a great night. It may well be just bench and table sharing or standing room only as audience numbers are more relaxed
We're delighted to announce the return of 'Flamenco Sundays' to the Tapas Tardis. The 'grupo de casa' will feature some of our much-loved regular musicians, including the brilliant Cuffy and Kevin Byrne on guitars, and Jimi Can on percussion, plus dancer Aneta Skut. Expect music of craft and passion, in the most perfect setting outside Spain itself.

The Tiny Gigs series
From Folk to Jazz, Flamenco to Classical and much more besides our tiny gigs are a diverse set of shows, however what unites them is the talent and warmth of the performers. A rare chance to see some outstanding acts up close and personal. Please note standing, table sharing, and perching is necessary so arrive early for the pick of the bunch

Under the Red Guitar - poetry evening
Join us in the warmth of El Rincon for a monthly poetry evening. There will be a featured poet each month and open mic slots, with MCs Lizzie Rascal and Bobi Notlaw, otherwise known as The Spoke poets Elizabeth Parker and Robert Walton.

Please. He won second prize in the National Poetry Competition 2016, Winchester Poetry Prize 2017 and other shortlists. He tutors for Poetry Society, Poetry School, Cheltenham Festivals, First Story, Arvon and holds an MSc in Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes (CWTP). Debut pamphlet, Wasted Rainbow (tall-lighthouse)and collection This Fruiting Body (Nine Arches Press, October 2021). In 2022, he’ll publish a new pamphlet with Broken Sleep and his collected City Poet work.

Spanish Tuition and meet up
New Spanish Classes
We'll be hosting an informal fun open night here at El Rincon bar to chat about our new Spanish classes, their dates, times and content etc on Weds 3rd Aug from 6pm. Our new class dates will begin from the week commencing 22nd August until 26th or 27th September for all Spanish levels.
Currently we offer beginner, beginner refresher and an intermediate class, there's a maximum of 8 student in each class, they run for one hour a week over 6 weeks and cost £100
We will also have a flamenco guitarist, tapas and the bar will be open till 10pm, so bring amigos f you want too' If you're unable to make it and would like further information then please do get in touch
